The Broncomatic was a breath-controlled robotic ride developed with artist Brandan Walker. Studies of riders’ experiences informed a taxonomy to express the ambiguous relationship between surrendering control and being aware of control that arises when humans simultaneously contest control with autonomous systems and their own bodies.
